samitivej hospital to the rescue?

I went for a visit to samitivej hospital yesterday. I am going more and more hi-so. The first hospital I visited in Bangkok was the St.Louis on Sathorn road, because I literally lived next to it. That was just ok.

Then I used to go to Bangkok Hospital, which is quite hi-so, but really far away (near RCA). Now, I tried Samitivej.

I went to a counter to get registered but it was the wrong counter. The lady escorted me to the right counter, where the handsome gay man wanted my details - as well as a picture. Wow, what a service. He showed me to counter 3, where I needed to wait.

The urologist listened to my concerns and told me to get undressed. Oooooooohhhh. It's a bit odd to get undressed in front of a man you know for roughly 5 minutes, but it's their job.

He touched my dick, my tummy and inserted his finger into my ass...he basically fingered me, and the more he did it, the more it actually felt rather good.... he said that my prostate was normal and fine...I was a bit surprised.

The I needed to pee into a cup for the bacterial test. It came back negative and the doctor said I have nothing, so he will not give me any medicine. Interesting...just 10 days ago I had intense pain and got heavy antibiotics...

I am not quite sure what to think...maybe I am a bit of a "Malade Imaginaire" perhaps then I just had an acute infection 10 days ago, which is now cured. I do feel a lot better today though...very odd stuff.

Thank you for all the lovely comments and emails you sent me, it's actually been quite heart-warming to hear about your concern! I am still quite amazed that I get virtually zero hate-mail.

Perhaps these people who feel offended by my posts dont actually follow my blog (anymore), and that's just fine with me.

Thanks again, all you lovely readers, for your concern!

What, you've never been to Babylon then? Oh, I forgot, you're a married man. - Ian

Ian, I was an unmarried single man for 7 months in Bangkok and frankly I find saunas a bit disgusting and I am too shy for that anyway. plus I think very lowly of my body.

by the way what's wrong about monogamy?

And I thought the customer is always right! Really, you have to be pro-active with Dr's.. especially there, and maybe try Bumrungrad. Good Luck

I don't think much of my body either and used to be shy til I realised it doesn't get you anywhere. Wallflowers end up wilting. Nothing's wrong with monogamy - if I had a partner, I would practice it too. - Ian

I tried to be pro-active with the doctor but he got defensive. I heard that doctors here follow an american approach to medicine, which is quite structural and "ticking-off symptoms and causes"-based.

If you have a worry, you should essentially just get over it it seems. I am feeling better now but still think there's something a little bit odd. I do know my body better than the doctor...

I will go and see someone in Switzerland. There, they do countless tests and listen to you when you have a problem until you get diagnosed with being "healthy".

Ian - I am not a wallflower. A wallflower would not write such a blog. I am just a bit shy. And I like my overall appearance, but in a sauna you are a piece of meat that will be assessed in a second. And I would take rejection personal, so that is not a place for me I think...

during the whole time in Thailand, when I met someone, I was never the initiator for having sex by the way...I was always waiting until they would "come closer"...

and I thought you had a partner, no?:)

So did I. But that was then and this is now. But I'll be in Bkk in 12 days time and you never know who you'll meet. - Ian

BB, it sounds like you might have kidney stones, which can be detected with a non invasive ultrasound...

Ian...I see, the chula bitch left you?

just be careful with flirty boys...but you should know that by now.

thank you prkmk, I am quite well now.

anonymous...I read about this and I dont think I have them...I have never felt a sharp pain anywhere...only dull pain.

BB, from reading your blogg, I dare to say "I am just a bit shy" isn't true.

During my Bangkok holiday, I went to DJ-Station and Babylon and I'm not sure which is the better place. In Babylon, everyone is equal (regarding clothing; with hindsight I was strongly biased to shirtless or even sleeveless guys in disco), the light is better and people are not drunk. However, I can't imagine using a dark room. In DJ-Station, there is much more choice and free touching, but it's too loud for talking.

Addendum: my first sentence is ambiguous, the "isn't true" refers to "shy" and not "just a bit". BoB April 25, 2009 "I am not shy to talk to almost anyone..."
