From Christchurch with Love...

I went to "town" today, for the second time since I am here. The university is in the suburbs and I was too busy to take the bus to town...well not too busy, but since everything closes at 6pm at latest, it's a bit difficult.

Today was a marvellous day as you can see, blue sky, cold, crisp air. The top-right part of the above picture is for someone who knows it...

I went to the New Zealand Film Festival, to watch a German movie: "Der Baader Meinhof Komplex".

very capturing movie....and I learnt a lot about recent history too.

This is my last weekend in Christchurch. On Tuesday, I will go on a trip by myself to the mountain resort town of Queenstown.

These were all impressions of Christchurch, how it looked like today. Can you see that I love the blue sky and the wintery light?

Mmmm..very beautiful pictures. Make me want to take a trip to NZ. But my sister told me that locals in Christchurch are racist, especially to Asian. I am not sure if it's true. She told me even farang from North Island are discriminated because they associate with Asian, her farang friends told her.

Anyway, really enjoy your photos, like blue sky too. :)

It's a small conservative town. people are racist in rome, zurich, sydney, seoul, bangkok........EVERYWHERE....dont worry, you are not going to be beaten up...I was here with my bf for 2 years and we never even got a bad comment...cant be that bad then.

ok, Im off to bed, the show is over for today:)

Queenstown is great try the solera restaurant :) and fish bone restaurant (a couple runs it they're nice, ones from my home town). Also wine, good food and great views at Amsfield winery bistro its just outside of Queenstown. Pout jealous not going to Queenstown this year. Have fun.

Will check all of them...a triple yay for solo candle-light dinners!

Do you live in Aussie? I think I might see some of your country-fellows there...:)

Yeah I'm Aussie, hehe. Yeah normally a few of us around over there. Oh oh oh I nearly forgot Ferg Burgers, near the round-a-bout down near the lake. *Mouth water* Normally lots of eye candy there as well especially late night after drinking ;)

yeah I did see one or two aussies:)

one middle-aged lady was drunk and shouting at me whether I know a kebab place...I must have looked like a local to her...bad bad.:)

I am thinking about amisfield tonight...I will make a booking, their place gets raving reviews. although I dont trust kiwis for culinary taste and well-balanced restaurant reviews.
